      Rated 5 out of 5�by Excellent Cable Modem I purchased this modem for two reasons. Time Warner kept promising me down load speeds of 200 mbs with an Ethernet connection (no guarantee with wireless) but none of the 5 different modems they supplied gave me more than 92 mbs tops. Additionally, they charge a rental fee of $8.00 plus tax to use their modems. I returned their modem and installed the CM500 and now I'm getting speeds of 135-165 mbs on wireless at 20 or more feet from my router. The modem should pay for itself in about 13 months.
